Wow it’s the middle of April!!!

How did this happen? I’ve been wrapped up in the enemy of time – busy. I’m back to trying to “wrap things up”, “get things done” and “all the things”. Why? So, I can have time to spend on things I delight in. The things I really want to do. This is why I should not take so long to create these blogs. When I read the words, in black and white, I realize how ridiculous this is.

I know better. Part of my Lenten journey was to fast from busy. I was supposed to take time to nourish my soul. I started out strong. Then I started to “add extra” each day. Before I knew it, I was behind in the things that really matter and back to trying to get it all done. “Wrapped up and tied up, in a nice, neat package.”

The thing is, life is not a nice, neat package and no amount of time wasted on this endeavor will make it neat, tidy, organized, or perfect. Perfection is highly overrated – at least by our definition of it. Should we abandon the pursuit of perfection – NEVER, but we need to change our idea of what perfection really is.

I want to explore this more, but for now – give me your thoughts. I’ll be back sooner this time; I have some busy to discard and some thought shuffling to take care of first.
